We will empower you to lead, develop deep expertise, and find new approaches to solving the toughest challenges.Position Overview:Draft speeches, briefings, and op-eds for the president and CEO, board chair, and other senior executives; write weekly column blog posts, talking points, press statements, a widely read monthly newsletter, and both short- and long-form pieces, among other materials.Responsibilities:+ Write speeches, talking points, op-eds, and columns on deadlines.+ Interact with the president and CEO, and other senior executives.+ Understand major Chamber policies and how to communicate them.+ Help develop messaging on policies.+ Draft monthly communications to the board, members, and other executives.Qualifications:+ Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, political science, economics, or a related field.+ 5-7 years of speechwriting or comparable writing experience for senior executives, elected or high-level government officials, or an equivalent.+ Exceptional writing skills and an ability to write in a variety of mediums.+ Significant experience staffing senior executives and excellent presentation skills.+ A broad-based knowledge of current events and major public policies.+ Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight and numerous deadlines.+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.The salary range for this position is $114,125.00 to $145,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors.
