Between an extremely large volume kids apparel company is looking for a new Design Director for the baby division.
Check you match the skill requirements for this role, as well as associated experience, then apply with your CV below.Job:The Design Director is responsible for the design execution, management, and development oversight process.Candidate will work collaboratively with the design team to create and execute seasonally relevant product lines across multiple apparel categories within the NIT space.Candidate must have apparel design experience, technical knowledge, the ability to effectively manage and develop design team members, along with strong aesthetic, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Requirements:At least 5 years of Apparel Design experience.Background in baby and tremendous creative ability.Excellent eye for color, graphics, print, and pattern; able to translate trends into brand aesthetic.Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to form partnerships to collaborate, influence, and drive change.Understanding of materials, fabrics, technical fabrics, and trims required.Adobe Illustrator proficiency; Photoshop and PLM system experience a plus.A high-energy team player with a can-do attitude willing to learn and grow with the company.Solution-oriented, critical thinker with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities.Flexible and adaptable to work in a highly collaborative environment.Ability to effectively manage and develop design team members.Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
