Serves as the Information Technology (IT) platform owner responsible for underlying systems as workloads are transformed from z/OS on-premise to Unikix in Azure. Works with senior leadership and peers to develop roadmaps for each platform capability that supports broader digital transformation. Consults with functional management in the analysis of strategic business requirements and recommending technical solutions that support multiple projects. Oversees completion of feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and the establishment and/or implementation of new or revised platforms, programs, upgrades and processes. Manages departmental personnel, budget, and resources including financial responsibility for projects within span of control. Applicants will be required to engage in ongoing background checks through the duration of this position with continued passing results.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities

Interface with key customers and business partners to define the strategic direction of departmental efforts.Ensure the reliability, maintainability, and scalability of core systems capabilities.Aligns current and future platform capabilities to minimize disruption as workloads are migrated to the cloud.Responsible for platform availability and coordinates with managed service providers to ensure reliable run support.Drive critical decisions and issue resolution.Review and evaluates staff performance.Research and recommend process improvements to resolve issues and improve service delivery.Develop and maintain work plans and project timelines.Manage budget and resources.Organize, direct, and work with teams of highly skilled individuals to identify problems, evaluate solutions, and monitor their effect on complex systems.Compile disparate information, form logical conclusions and present the information in a cohesive, intelligible manner.Serve as an agent for process and procedural changes, including managing the cultural/organizational impact of those changes.Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree7 or more years of experience in managing or leading IT projects7 or more years of supervisory experience

Equivalent Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED10 or more years of experience in managing or leading IT projects10 or more years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate Degree10 or more years of experience in managing or leading Transportation/Logistics/Rail Operations IT projects.
