Technical Designer.Please see the full job description along with all details below.Role:Technical Designer- Must have extensive experience in at least one of the following categories: denim, soft wovens, structured wovens, and knits.Rate:$35-$40/hr based on experienceLocation:Culver City, CAHybrid: Monday , Wednesday Friday- Onsite, 2 Days WFH most weeksOnsite Fittings Monday and WednesdayStart/End:Interviewing As Soon as PossibleFreelance 6 months with potential to temp to hireAverage 35 hours a weekJob Description:This person will be supporting the Director of Tech Design by taking notes during fittings and process comments, then managing the tech pack through final prototype with the guidance of Director - Dir of tech design will be leading fittings. Designers will start the tech packs. Open on categories - Multiple categories: Denim, Sweaters Woven, Loungewear Leather; $100-$600 price point. ContemporaryAs a Technical designer, you will: Drive the construction of denim, knits, and/or wovens category productsHelp manage the internal brand initiatives to non-product teamsManage fittings and partner with fit models to properly execute the design vision for fit functionManage vendor communication through tech packs, an commentsManage calendars to ensure critical milestones are hit with cross-functional teams ?Maintain proper fit throughout the development process by providing vendors with detailed image-driven fit correctionsPartner with design and development to ensure the proper selection of blocks and grade rulesProvide technical expertise to internal and external partners4+ years experience required in technical designMust have extensive experience in at least one of the following categories: denim, soft wovens, structured wovens, and knits.Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop ?Proficient in building BOM's and technical packagesAbility to interpret design intent and alternative solutionsMust be self-motivated and have the ability to see creative vision through, from inception to completion.Strong verbal and written communication skillsNimble, scrappy and adaptable.Can roll with the punches and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environmentYou believe that feedback is a gift; you can receive and grow from feedback, and you're comfortable sharing thoughtful feedback to others as needed
