The Director of Marketing Strategy will lead the development and implementation of GuideStone’s brand marketing strategy, which aims to increase brand awareness, drive acquisition and improve retention.This role will lead the team to shape and share the corporate marketing strategy and ensure successful execution across multiple channels, including traditional media and digital platforms. This individual should also be a leader who develops a strategic brand plan to ensure inspired, high-performing, engaging content that builds a distinct brand identity and experience.What You'll Do

Raises the profile of the GuideStone brand and highlights our differentiation by creating and implementing a brand marketing strategy at the enterprise levelResponsible for enterprise-level marketing strategy and campaign development, blending online and offline strategies to create a wholistic brand experienceShapes brand messaging, content, value proposition, assets and campaigns to highlight and strengthen GuideStone’s reputation as a leader in the faith-based financial services spacePartners cross-functionally to align on strategic imperatives and critical content partnerships –creating a content strategy across platforms for a seamless experienceDevelops and maintains a high level of awareness and understanding of GuideStone’s audience types, business needs, drivers, etc., to help guide the creation of appropriate, compelling strategies for all product lines and channels.Advances GuideStone with reputable and ongoing insight, launching and hosting an Innovation RoundtableDrives developing and implementing a robust social media strategy, leveraging platforms to enhance brand visibility, engage with our audience, and foster community building.Enforces an evaluation model and criteria for marketing partnership, sponsorship and other opportunities to ensure alignment with our brand, our values and our goalsMeasures and drives demonstrable business results and ROI through brand-buildingLeads and develops a high-performing team of marketing professionals.Sets and delivers the marketing strategy budget.Responsible for full scope of supervision including reviewing performance of assigned staff.This position directly supervises the Sr. Manager, Marketing Strategy and the Enterprise Marketing StrategistWhat You'll Need

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or a related field.Masters Degree, preferred.10 years experience.Must be a member of a faith-aligned churchIndustry experience in financial services or insurance is preferred.Advanced professional writing and editing skills.Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiencesDevelops and manages workflow processes to meet deadlines and client expectations.Converts complex concepts into communications materials that are compelling, clear and concise for a variety of audiences.Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiencesStrong collaboration and negotiation skills, showing an ability to influence without ownership, gaining support and trust across the organization to achieve agreed-upon business outcomesPassionate about GuideStone’s purpose and ability to drive brand impactTravel is required up to 10% annually.Proficient skills in MS Office and appropriate GuideStone system applications.Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
