Basic Purpose:

The Director, Content Marketing & Education will drive our education and content strategies, which are focused on maximizing GuideStone's unique position in the market. The position will also help potential and existing members and ministry partners understand the value of our enterprise and how we can help them start well, stay well and finish well.

This role leads the teams in creating content, thought leadership and education resources that help those we serve become more financially secure and resilient. They will set the strategic vision to produce original, engaging and informative content and resources across owned, earned, and paid channels - plus share compelling member and ministry partner stories. This individual should also be a leader who desires to create an inspired, high-performing and engaged team of marketing professionals.

What You'll DoLeads the planning, development, execution and optimization of a unified content, education and thought leadership strategy that promotes GuideStone as a faith-aligned expert to members and ministry partners across multiple channels and platforms.Drives the educational strategy, content creation and distribution across GS.org, owned and paid mediums, helping our members and ministry partners feel informed to start well, stay well and finish well.In line with GuideStone's overall marketing/ brand strategy, create new content, revise current content, carefully curate third-party content and determine applicability by platform for the Gloo and Lily Grant (Start Well Initiative) initiativesDrives initiatives to enhance member and member partner loyalty, satisfaction, and lifetime value through effective communication, personalized experiences, and innovation.Develops both annual and quarterly marketing and content plans based on insights, target personas, seasonal themes and enterprise needs.Utilizes data-driven insights, analyzing content performance, managing topical content engagement, and performing a quarterly audit of content to optimize content and education strategyWork closely with subject matter experts from around the company to identify and build up thought leaders across topics to lend professional expertise and guidance content where possibleDevelops and maintains a high level of awareness and understanding of GuideStone's audience types, business needs, drivers, etc., to help guide the creation of appropriate, compelling content strategies for all product lines and channels.Measures and drives demonstrable business results and ROI through content marketing and education.Leads and develops a high-performing team of marketing professionals.Responsible for the full scope of supervision, including reviewing the performance of assigned staff.This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for Manager - Content Marketing & Sr Manager - Marketing.Build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or a related field.Masters Degree, preferred.10 years experience.Must be a member of a faith-aligned churchIndustry experience in financial services or insurance is preferred.Advanced professional writing and editing skills.Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiencesDevelops and manages workflow processes to meet deadlines and client expectations.Converts complex concepts into communications materials that are compelling, clear and concise for a variety of audiences.Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiencesStrong collaboration and negotiation skills, showing an ability to influence without ownership, gaining support and trust across the organization to achieve agreed-upon business outcomesPassionate about GuideStone's purpose and ability to drive brand impactTravel is required up to 15% annually.Proficient skills in MS Office and appropriate GuideStone system applications.Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
