Position Purpose

Granite Credit Union is a member-focused financial institution dedicated to providing outstanding banking solutions and exceptional service to our members and community. This role is crucial in driving the Credit Union's growth and success by effectively promoting its products or services, enhancing brand reputation, and engaging with members to achieve business objectives. The Marketing Manager/Director will be responsible for the direction and management of the marketing operation and promotion of the credit union's products, services, and brand. They will direct the effort of the marketing staff and in collaboration with the creative team work to implement marketing plans and strategies.

Essential Duties, Skills & Abilities

Promote outstanding member service skills by applying Granite Credit Union Core Values.

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the credit union objectives. Oversee and provide visionary leadership to the marketing team fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Collaborate with executive leadership to align marketing efforts with overall strategy and business goals.

Lead the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, driving brand awareness and member acquisition through strategic, targeted efforts. Ensure cohesive and consistent messaging across all channels and campaigns.

Oversee and optimize the marketing budget to maximize ROI, carefully monitoring campaign expenses to stay within budget. Utilize data-driven insights to assess campaign performance and make strategic adjustments. Deliver financial and performance reports, analysis, and actionable insights to executive leadership.

Negotiate and manage targeted media buys to align with and support marketing strategies, goals, and campaigns.

Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities. Regularly conduct market research to stay updated on industry shifts and consumer preferences, offering insights to guide product development and market positioning.

Collaborate with various sales departments, including mortgage, consumer, commercial, and business, as well as the creative team, to ensure cohesive and effective messaging. Foster strong cross-functional relationships to drive integrated marketing initiatives and effectively communicate marketing strategies and results to all relevant stakeholders.

Represent the Credit Union at external events and as the Public Information Officer (PIO), acting as the primary communicator with the public and media, and coordinating with other agencies or representatives as necessary.

Promote a professional appearance and attitude.

Attend meetings as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience & Skills

5+ years of proven experience in advertising, promotions, or marketing, ideally within the financial services industry.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including digital advertising platforms and analytics.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial advertising.

Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Experience in budget management preferred.

Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
