Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The candidate must possess the following Professional Technical Qualifications:Demonstrated knowledge and experience in United States and international intellectual property legal systems and procedures related to intellectual property law, including in one or more of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and enforcement.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in international trade and intellectual property treaties and agreements.Knowledge of the functioning of intergovernmental organizations, having represented the United States or otherwise participated in one or more meetings of an intergovernmental organization.Demonstrated experience with program management, including domestic and international program planning, evaluation, and resource management.EXECUTIVE CORE QUALIFICATIONS (ECQ):

You must submit a narrative statement covering each of the ECQs listed below unless you: 1) are a current or former SES career appointee or 2) have successfully completed an SES Candidate Development Program approved by OPM and been certified by OPM.

ECQ 1: Leading Change

- This core qualification involves the ability to bring about strategic change, both within and outside the organization, to meet organizational goals. Inherent to this ECQ is the ability to establish an organizational vision and to implement it in a continuously changing environment.Competencies: Creativity and Innovation, External Awareness, Flexibility, Resilience, Strategic Thinking, and Vision.

ECQ 2: Leading People

- This core qualification involves the ability to lead people toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals. ECQ 3: Results Driven
