In 2013, Jetty Extracts began producing extracts and concentrates in San Diego, CA. Jetty is now one of the top extracts and concentrates brands in California. Starting with a few individuals committed to creating clean, refined cannabis concentrates by the beach, Jetty has evolved into a group of passionate professionals committed to becoming one of the world’s most respected cannabis brands. While the last several years have seen Jetty grow exponentially, we continue to be committed to craft, working with small farmers, producing the cleanest and tastiest products, and contributing to our communities. We pay our employees a living wage, and support them with benefits such as generous PTO, parental leave with day one eligibility, health/dental/vision insurance and a 401k match.The Role:The Vice President of Marketing will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with Jetty's goals and drive brand growth across multiple states. This role will oversee all marketing functions, including brand management, digital marketing, product marketing, public relations, and customer engagement, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in messaging across all channels. The VP of Marketing will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's market positioning and expanding our presence in the highly competitive and frequently evolving cannabis industry.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement a cohesive marketing strategy that supports the company’s overall business objectives and drives growth in existing and new markets.Brand Management:

Oversee brand development and ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels. Lead initiatives to enhance brand recognition and loyalty.Digital Marketing:

Drive digital marketing efforts, including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, content marketing, and e-commerce strategies to increase brand visibility and customer engagement.Product Marketing:

Collaborate with the product development team to create and execute go-to-market strategies for new products. Develop pricing strategies, product positioning, and promotional plans.Public Relations & Communications:

Lead public relations efforts, including media relations, corporate communications, and crisis management. Serve as the company’s spokesperson when needed.Customer Insights & Analytics:

Leverage market research and customer data to inform marketing strategies and ensure alignment with customer needs and preferences.Budget Management:

Optimize and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI on marketing investments.Team Leadership:

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the marketing department.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with other departments, including Sales, Product Development, Operations, and Compliance, to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with overall business objectives. Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to drive cohesive initiatives, streamline processes, and enhance the customer experience.Compliance & Regulatory:

Ensure all marketing initiatives comply with state and federal regulations specific to the cannabis industry.Desired Skills and Basic Qualifications:Experience:Minimum of 10 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the cannabis industry or a highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.Skills:Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in a multi-state operation.Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand management, and product marketing.Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.Excellent communication and public speaking abilities.Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage analytics to drive decisions.Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing cannabis marketing is a plus.Jetty is committed to providing reasonable support (called accommodations) in our recruiting processes for candidates with (but not limited to) disabilities, long term conditions, mental health conditions, sincerely held religious beliefs, those who are neurodivergent, or those who require pregnancy-related support.
