About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. Instruct users on software upgrades to implement accordingly. Evaluate systems to ensure they are operating in accordance with organizational requirements. Develop standard operating procedures for systems such as Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software to stay consistent with industry standards. Utilize instruments such as planimeters and scales to perform quantity computations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. This is a developmental position, which will be filled at the GS-09, GS-10, or GS-11 grade level. You will work in a developmental capacity performing assignments and completing training, both of which are aimed at preparing you to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of the full performance level. The candidate placed in this position may be non-competitively promoted to the target grade of GS-11 if he or she has satisfactorily demonstrated the ability to perform at the higher grade level, meets all regulatory and qualification requirements for promotion, has been recommended for promotion by the supervisor and the target position is supported at the time of the promotion. GS-09 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Utilizing automated systems such as Excel, Word, and Outlook to prepare administrative document for projects; 2) Assisting with collecting data related to the construction, maintenance, and/or repair of facilities to provide for projects; AND 3) Conducting inventory of organization's equipment to remain in compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). GS-10 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Assisting in the preparation of detailed drawings of buildings, structures, systems, or equipment to utilize for projects; 2) Utilizing instruments such as planimeters or scales to assist with quality computations; AND 3) Reviewing construction project proposals and/or plans to assist with technical support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Preparing detailed drawings of buildings, structures, or landscape architectural features to utilize for projects; 2) Utilizing design software such as Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software to draft designs for projects; AND 3) Providing guidance to users on the implementation of software upgrades. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
