is looking for a

Defense Mechanical Designer

who will draft and revise detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in the field of mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

:

Drafts and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in the field of mechanical engineering.Utilizes computer-aided design software such as PTC/CREO, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Siemens NX.Incorporates redlines and revises drawings utilizing standard engineering drafting practices and PLM.Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve product quality or facilitates manufacturing operations.Requirements

:

U.S. Citizenship required.High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of related experience. Will accept a bachelors or higher degree plus at least 2 years of related experience.Previous work history with mechanical drafting in the Defense IndustryExperience using:o ASME Y14.5 (GD&T)o PTC/CREOo Siemens Teamcenter

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.Preferred qualifications:

Experience with envelope drawings as it pertains to CCA design and development.Familiarity with electro-mechanical components and integration within systems. (motors, sensors, actuators, etc...)Experience with cable/harness drawingsExperience with Model Based Definition (MBD) and Product Manufacturing Information (PMI)Experience with detailed tolerance analysesA US Gov't Secret clearanceSelf-Starter familiar with dynamic work environments.Experience with additive manufacturing (3D Printing, Rapid Prototyping, etc...).Experience with Machining (Mill, Lathe, Router, etc...)
