GENERAL SUMMARY

We are seeking a strategic and innovative Social Media Strategist to spearhead our social media efforts. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies that align with our ministry mission, brand goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL TO THE POSITION

Must have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior and be in full agreement with the Bible Study Fellowship Statement of Faith, Human Sexuality Policy, Core Values and Cultural Commitments.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Strategy Development: Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and achieve marketing objectives.

· Audience Analysis: Conduct thorough audience research to identify key demographics, behaviors, and preferences, and use insights to tailor content and messaging.

· Platform Selection: Determine the most effective social media platforms for reaching target audiences and allocate resources accordingly.

· Content Planning: Collaborate with content creators to develop compelling and relevant content calendars aligned with brand messaging and campaign objectives.

· Paid Social Campaigns: Plan, execute, and collaborate with Marketing manager to optimize paid social media campaigns to maximize reach, engagement, and return on investment.

· Community Management: Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, comments, and messages, and engage with the audience in a timely and authentic manner.

· Performance Tracking: Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze social media performance metrics and prepare regular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns.

· Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies in social media marketing, and incorporate them into strategy development.

· Reporting: Report results on all social campaigns and data analytics over all social platforms and channels.

· Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure alignment and integration of social media strategies with overall ministry goals.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Skills:

· This person needs to be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and have a keen attention to detail. They must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high volume work environment and remain calm and professional under pressure.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google analytics 4, and InVideo.

· Proven ability to use various technology platforms and quickly learn new tools as needed.

· Proven, advanced organization, time management, presentation skills, excellent written and verbal communication.

· Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications & Experience:• Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Communications, or related field.

· Minimum 3 years proven experience in social media strategy development and execution, preferably in a managerial or strategic role.

· Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.

· Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.

· Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.

· Passion for staying ahead of industry trends and driving innovation in social media marketing.

Spiritual Requirements:

· Thorough understanding of the Christian faith and its doctrines and the BSF Statement of Faith.

· Follow Matthew 18 principles in addressing issues with fellow employees.

· Studying the Bible in preparation for each weekday’s group meeting.

· Lead staff prayer time and your table group Bible study as reasonably requested.

· Prepare for and attend each Day of Prayer.

WORKING CONDITIONS• Modular office environment.• Sitting for long periods of time.• Possible eyestrain from looking at computer screen for long periods of time.• Travel twice a year to staff events hosted at HQ.• Required to make periodic domestic and international trips via car or airplane requiring long periods of sitting and time changes.• This position is located in Dallas, TX.• All applicants, regardless of location, must be able to work during the hours of 8-5pm, CST, Monday through Friday.• Employees must fulfill the performance standards of this position and comply with policies, guidelines and procedures of BSF, including those set out in the Employee handbook or otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to employees.
