Associate Manager Trade Marketing & Sales Analysis

The Role reports to the VP of Sales and is a key driver of both trade marketing activities and sales planning. This is a strategic, tactical position that plays an integral role in World Finer Foods' **Go To Market** strategy. The successful candidate is analytical, action-oriented, and capable of working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and finance.

In addition to trade marketing, this role also encompasses key sales analysis functions including detailed sales performance evaluations, planning, customer insights, and financial reporting, working with data to inform decision-making across trade promotions and sales strategies.

Position Responsibilities and Capabilities :Trade Marketing Analysis and Optimization :

- Analyze past Brand and competitors’ trade promotions to determine ideal timing, depth, and frequency of future promotions.

Develop and present trade marketing debrief presentations to key stakeholders, including client brands and senior leadership.Convert insights into action by partnering with sales and marketing to act on approved recommendations.Develop fact-based recommendations, selling tools, and presentationsPlanning :

Assist with annual plan development and the calendar of promotional activities by Brand and Category.Develop competitive promotional pricing and promotional strategies in line with programming requirements to ensure they align with Brand goals.Sales and Trade Spend Data Analysis :

Analyze sales trends and patterns, identifying key insights that drive sales performance and trade spend efficiency.Evaluate trade spend alongside sales performance to determine effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.Create reports and dashboards to monitor sales and trade spend performance across different channels, customers, and regions.Sales and Trade Spend Forecasting* *:

Develop sales forecasts and revenue projections based on historical data, market trends, and promotional activities.Analyze and project trade spend requirements for upcoming promotions and activities, ensuring alignment with sales goals.Partner with sales, finance, and trade marketing teams to align on forecasts and identify risks or opportunities.Customer and Trade Spend Insights :

Gather and interpret customer data and trade spend metrics, analyzing buying patterns, customer retention, and preferences to support sales and promotional strategies.Assist in developing customer segmentation and targeting strategies based on trade spend performance and sales data.Reporting and Performance Tracking :

Track and evaluate sales and trade spend KPIs, providing actionable insights for performance improvement.Report regularly on sales and trade spend metrics, performance, and areas for improvement to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.Data-Driven Recommendations :

Utilize sales and trade spend data to recommend changes in sales strategies, promotional plans, or trade spend allocations to improve overall sales and profitability.Collaborate with the finance and sales teams to assess the financial impact of promotions, pricing changes, and trade spend investments.Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s degree preferred3-5+ years of experience in trade marketing/ promotional management/ category management/ insights strongly preferredExperience with Syndicated Data sources (IRI Circana, Nielsen, SPINS, etc)Excellent organizational skills- self-starter with ability to meet deadlines and balance competing prioritiesExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent listening skills and ability to glean feedback and insights from sales & marketing
