We value diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences; recognize that inclusive actions lead to equitable outcomes; and support and encourage all team members to share their ideas to help Waymo better serve the communities in which we operate.In this hybrid role, you will report to our Director of Product Operations and Planning.You will:Drive system level process improvement programs to improve human dependent processes, reduce variability, decrease cost and decrease lead timeDevelop operational systems to support standardized work, problem solving, and a continuous improvement cultureMentor, coach, and teach people on lean efficiency principlesFacilitate cross functional problem solving to design counter measures and corrective actionsBe an important strategic partner for leaders across the organizationPartner with Operations teams and Product Managers to identify bottlenecks, conduct gap assessments, and map the current stateLead project implementation plans and manage the change management to ensure adoption of the desired future stateDevelop timelines to identify and plan for mitigations that address potential challenges that could block progressPresent your work to Waymo leadership and various partner groupsYou have:10+ years' experience in operations management, program management, and project managementAbility to break down ambiguous and complex problems into manageable segments, tease out dependencies, risks and mitigations with creative solutions; and get partners aligned with the strategySolid experience planning for and managing several large-scale, complex projects and coordinating cross functional project membersExcellent collaborationBachelor's Degree(s) in Engineering, Business or related technical fieldWe prefer:Experience leading Lean Culture transformation in a distributed organizationExperience using Shingo ModelMasters Degree(s) in Industrial Engineering, Business or related technical fieldComfortable pulling data and analyzing underlying root causePMP Certification in Project Management, Prosci Change Management, or similar#LI-HybridThe expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
