We are looking for an experienced, service-minded designer to support our ongoing NGPOS (next-generation point of sale) product efforts. This designer should be a systems thinker and someone who can conduct research to inform experience strategy, visualize complex technical solutions, and envision the end-to-end journey for multiple audiences (frontend associates, customers, fuel center attendants, pharmacists) who will interact with the experience.This role will work closely with product managers, engineering counterparts, and other designers working in the same space. They'll also collaborate with business partners in retail operations to learn more about the inner workings of our stores.Key Responsibilities:Develop user journey maps, service blueprints, and other visualizations to document the current state and future vision for our point-of-sale ecosystemIdentify user needs and pain points and work with stakeholders to prioritize and address themPlan and conduct user research, involving team members and stakeholders in the process, to better understand our end-users and their problems. Visiting retail locations to interact with users face-to-face is a significant benefit.Lead collaborative efforts and facilitate sessions (using different workshopping frameworks) with stakeholders to align on a shared visionAn ideal candidate should:Have a bias for action, feeling empowered to trust instincts and to make decisions that are grounded in data - both qualitative and quantitativeHave a passion for process designQuickly understand the unique challenges our associates and customers face with in-store checkout and document findings for visibilityPossess the ability to confidently facilitate workshops and collaborative sessionsBuild relationships across our company, acting as a catalyst for collaborationRequired ExperienceHands-on experience with service design, service blueprinting, and overall, being more service orientedTechnical knowledge- especially experience or familiarity working with payment systemsExperience with analytics and UX success metrics**This role will require candidates to travel to specific retail locations 2-3 days/ week.**
