We are searching for a talented and detail-oriented Technical Designer to support our collaborative team. This role’s main responsibilities will include setting up and maintaining tech packs in our PLM system and making detailed construction pages for production. This role will also help lead fittings and make detailed fit comments. Excellent computer & math skills as well as extensive sewing/construction knowledge will be key to success in this position. This is a temporary position.

Below, you will find a complete breakdown of everything required of potential candidates, as well as how to apply Good luck.Essential Job DutiesDeliver clear specifications on Tech Packs to include fit, construction, and quality, being cognizant or target pricesConduct/assist in fit sessions ensuring fit, sizing, construction and quality consistency is achieved in line with standardsEvaluate and measure garments to determine compliance of specs, construction, quality and fit intentTrack and manage workflow and workload priorities for productEvaluate and respond to technical conversations with Vendors, including quality and fit issue escalationsWork with cross-functional teams to communicate timeline conflicts, updates, guidance, and solutionsBuild tech packs including garment specs, construction.Coordinate, prepare, and organize fit samples for live model fittings and inspect samples following company quality standardsExecute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure fit process stays in line with production timelines and communicate those to the vendorsCoordinate with design and product development to ensure all design, fabric, trim and construction information in tech pack is correct when passing to the vendorRequired Skills/Abilities:High level knowledge of fit, pattern making, garment construction, sewing, and technical drawingExceptional eye to identify fit issues and recommend fit solutions while mindful of bulk production and costingMust have cut and sew, as well as woven and knit experienceAble to effectively communicate with international vendors and cross functional teams on a regular basis (written & verbal)Proficiency in MS office, SharePoint, Excel, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and PLM (NGC is a plus)Experience with plus-sized lines a plusEducation and Experience5-7+ years of experience as a Technical Designer at an apparel companyAssociates or Bachelors degree in Fashion Design or Technical DesignIndustryApparel & FashionEmployment TypeTemporary 3-6 month contractOn Site (West Hills, CA)Salary$35-$40 (Hourly Position)
