----Job Details:General NotesUT Health Austin is seeking a dynamic and driven Graphic Designer to join our in-house marketing team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the team to produce visually compelling content tailored to our target audiences within the healthcare industry. Your primary focus will be on creating engaging visual materials for both patients and clinicians, while ensuring consistency with our brand identity.

PurposeThe Graphic Designer will translate complex health-related topics into easily understandable visual content. Additionally, this position will conceptualize and design various marketing and communication pieces across print and digital platforms to effectively inspire and engage our audience, aligning with UT Health Austin's mission. The Graphic Designer role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to improving patient access to quality healthcare through the creation of impactful visual assets.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop visually appealing and engaging designs for various marketing materials, including print collateral, digital assets, social media graphics, email campaigns, website elements, and advertisements.

Work closely with clinical managers, doctors, illustrators, and other team members to understand project requirements, conceptualize and execute creative campaigns, and effectively translate concepts into visually compelling designs to effectively communicate our brand message and promote our services.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards that align with brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all marketing materials and channels.

Stay up to date with industry trends, design techniques, and best practices to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our visual content.

Manage the purchasing, designing, and inventory of UT Health Austin swag items for event. Travel to printers for press checks or to pick up materials when necessary. Maintain and organize asset libraries and assist with updates and version control of collateral.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field. Three (3) years of experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in a marketing setting. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Strong portfolio showcasing creative and effective design solutions across various platforms and mediums. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively present and discuss design concepts. Detail-oriented with a keen eye for typography, color, and layout. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web design principles is a plus. Experience with motion graphics and video editing tools is a bonus.

Salary Range

$65,000+ depending on qualifications
