Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Intern LHB has an immediate opportunity for an intern interested in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to join our team. This hybrid position can be based out of any of our LHB offices. Position Summary The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to: Support projects through application of GIS software and related database management tools. Minimum Qualifications Pursuing Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Computer Science or a related degree. At least one year of degree completed Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Working knowledge, with a minimum of 3-months of experience with ESRI software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online Ability to work at least 10 hours/week on average (actual hours will be negotiated with desired candidate) Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with ArcGIS Online and Field App development Ability to code in Arcade, Python, or C++ Experience in ArcGIS Desktop, WebApp Building Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong written and verbal communication skills Has a passion and desire to bring forward new ideas to solve challenges and be a thought-leader Benefits 401(k) with Company Match Employee Assistance Program Earned Sick and Safe Time Required Submittals Resume Closing Date: September 16, 2024 About LHB Founded in Duluth in 1966, LHB is a multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and planning firm that serves clients nationwide.
