This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that's sufficient for completing their job remotely.

Job Summary

As the Director of Brand Creative, you will lead, mentor, and empower Harley-Davidson's in-house Brand Creative team and its leadership to reach their highest potential. Your primary responsibility is to cultivate a culture of extreme accountability, collaboration, innovation, and excellence, ensuring that every team member is inspired, supported, and fully accountable for delivering exceptional work. While the GM, Brand Marketing, will set the creative vision and strategy, your focus will be on transforming that vision into actionable plans and successful creative solutions. You will drive accountability, mentor creative leaders, foster teamwork, and create an environment where creativity thrives. By enhancing operational efficiency and instilling a strong sense of ownership, you will maximize the team's collective impact, ensuring the delivery of world-class creative solutions that elevate brand desirability and align with Harley-Davidson's commercial goals.

Job ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Accountability:

Provide strong, supportive leadership that prioritizes the growth, development, and well-being of the creative team, while also setting clear expectations for performance and accountability.Instill a culture of extreme accountability where every team member takes ownership of their work, meets deadlines, and delivers high-quality results.Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence, while holding them accountable for their contributions to the team's success.

Team Success & Collaboration:

Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment that empowers the team to work together effectively, leveraging each other's strengths while maintaining high standards of accountability.Facilitate regular team meetings, creative brainstorms, and feedback sessions to ensure alignment, shared goals, collective progress, and individual accountability.Recognize and celebrate team successes while addressing areas for improvement, reinforcing a positive, motivated, and accountable team culture.

Brand Creative Operations:

Oversee the creative development process, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at the highest quality standards, with a strong emphasis on accountability at every stage.Optimize workflows and processes to enhance team efficiency, productivity, and accountability, ensuring that operational excellence is consistently achieved.Oversee a team of creative project managers within the creative operations team, ensuring they are effectively coordinating all creative projects from inception to completion.Manage timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently to ensure that projects meet their objectives without compromising on quality, with a clear focus on individual and team accountability.Develop and manage relationships with external creative partners when required, ensuring alignment with Harley-Davidson's brand standards and holding partners accountable for their contributions.Oversee and manage the creative department's budget, ensuring that all projects are delivered within financial constraints while maintaining high standards of creativity and quality.

Quality and Brand Consistency:

Translate the creative vision provided by the GM, Brand Marketing, into actionable plans, guiding the team in executing world-class creative work with a focus on ownership and responsibility.Protect the brand identity, preserve the brand's heritage, and ensure brand consistency across all Harley-Davidson marketing and communication channels.Drive innovation and fresh thinking while maintaining excellence in the quality of work.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art or Design or Equivalent Work Experience PreferredExperience Requirements

15+ years of experience in the creative industry with 10+ years in a management role, demonstrating strong leadership, mentorship, and a track record of driving accountability and operational excellence.A portfolio featuring a wide range of creative and integrated campaigns showcasing a diversity of ideas and approaches to problem-solving.Experience leading brand, content, digital, and communication design across various disciplines and channels, with a focus on operational excellence and extreme accountability.Deep knowledge of the creative process and the ability to lead a creative team in delivering world-class design, communications, and storytelling.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
