About the Role:

The Account Director, Public & Media Relations is a full-time hybrid role located in Boston, MA, with flexibility for some remote work. The Account Director will lead media relations initiatives on several key accounts in the agency’s growing client roster of both public and private life science innovators/companies. The successful candidate will have proven national media expertise in strategy development, execution as well as crisis management, new business development, and leadership.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute public relations and media strategies as well as campaigns

Create and maintain relationships with media outlets

Write press releases, media advisories, and other materials

Develop and implement strategies to increase brand awareness

Manage crisis communications

Create media content

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.

5-10 years related experience with supervisory skills.

Knowledge of and experience in the healthcare industry required.

Strong knowledge of media trends and digital media.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Must be located within commuting distance of Boston, willing to work 3 days a week in the office and 2 days remote.
