Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role, implying that the role is located in Boston, MA but some work from home is acceptable. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic guidance, day-to-day management, and execution of integrated public relations programs for healthcare clients of LaVoieHealthScience. The Public Relations Account Supervisor, Health will ensure the successful delivery of projects, client satisfaction, and maintaining strong relationships with key client stakeholders. This role will be responsible for working with account teams, executing on the development of strategic public relations programs, developing and maintaining excellent client relationships, and managing the execution of program activities, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met. A strong understanding of social media programming for corporate and brand programs, including influencer programs and follower strategies is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field5+ years of progressive public relations experience in healthcare public relations (agency or biotech/pharmaceutical experience preferable)Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detailProven ability to develop and manage public relations programs and teams that consistently generate positive media coverage and achieve organization/group objectivesExperience in developing long-term strategic public relations plans and product launchesDemonstrated understanding of the healthcare landscape, with experience working within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry a plusExcellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesA motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and function part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media management platformsExperience managing clients and providing strategic counsel requiredExperience in media relations, crisis communications, and issues management a plusA passion for the healthcare industry and for building the reputations of leading healthcare innovators
