Collaborate with theatre faculty andstaff to achieve departmental mission and goals\\ This is a full time, benefits eligible, salaried position with ahiring range of \$63,009-\$78,787 per year. Please submit your portfoliowith your application to be considered.\\Core Responsibilities: \Collaborate with other faculty and staff as Technical Director forone Theatre Department production per semester including instructingand supervising students, creating working drawings, budgeting andordering materials, and ensuring completion of the set.\Teach students in Theatre Department classes and spaces safe,effective practices in theatrical production (scenic construction,sound, stage management, working at heights, rigging, etc.).\Work as sound engineer for faculty shows and facilitate and supportguest sound designers.\Advise and provide academic and technical support for TheatreDepartment classes, and student independent projects.\Liaise with Facilities Services to ensure maintenance of TheatreDepartment spaces and equipment.\Provide Light and Sound support and work with Production Manager onscenic construction for SummerLanguage School productions in Theatre Department spaces.\Manage the Theatre Department scenic and properties collectionincluding loans and rentals to other productions.\Provide production support for Performing Arts Series events inTheatre Department spaces.\Middlebury College is an equal-opportunity employer where diversity,equity, and inclusion are core values. Collaborate with theatre facultyand staff to achieve departmental mission and goals.\Experience with theater-specific software - CAD/CAM (particularlyVectorworks), sound (particularly QLab), video production software,and Microsoft, Google and Adobe software products.\Strong artistic, technical, administrative, and organizationalskills; the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projectsand communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.\Experience in equipment and facility maintenance.\Experience with theatrical technology including lighting,networking, sound, intercom and video equipment systems and control.\ Physical Demands and Working Conditions \Work includes moving heavy objects and working at heights.\\Schedule includes working nights and weekends around technicalrehearsals and performances.\\Working conditions are a combination of an office environment and sitework in theaters and scene shops.\\ Other: \Offer is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal backgroundcheck.\\ Benefits \As an employee of Middlebury College, you will enjoy being part of avibrant supportive community.
