Overview

We are seeking a full-time

Graphic Designer

in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategically-focused creative solutions for traditional mediums and prepares final artwork for production.Essential FunctionsALL TEAMS:Coordinates creating and visualizing multiple design layouts for moderately complex projects.Partners with Art Directors to bring original concepts to final layout and may also partner with Art Directors/business partners to perform final design on launch/campaign materials.Plans layouts for final production, including, but not limited to, printer and vendor specs.Works with appropriate teammates and business partners to identify and define project parameters.Aids in finalizing concepts into finished comps for presentation, reviews and approvals.Assists with producing final artwork and incorporating into final layouts.Collaborates/adds value in design reviews and contributes to improving processes, standards and guidelines.Applies a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities and works collaboratively/professionally with other Garmin associates and performs as a solid contributor on cross functional teams to achieve goals.MERCH/TRADESHOWS:Concepts/communicates new solutions for point of sale displays and in-person experiences.Assists in developing/visualizing multiple design layouts for complex projects in 3D spaces.Provides support with vendors and merch team to execute creative through final production.Works with cross functional teams and business partners to perform final design on materials and physical displays.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree

AND

a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience

OR

an equivalent combination of education and experience.Excellent academic qualifications.Proficient in Mac OS computer skills utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and Keynote.A portfolio demonstrating exceptional understanding and use of design and layout.Knowledgeable in the application of pre-press production methods and final production follow through.Good working awareness of vast array of methods and resources to implement a concept or idea.Demonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and excellent follow-up skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with demonstrated conflict resolution experience.Demonstrates basic knowledge of Garmin’s organization, customers, market segments, products, operations and strategies.Desired QualificationsCollege degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design or related field or equivalent experience.Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
