: Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Supervises the development, implementation and planning of an overall marketing strategy for a section, division or agency. Develops and administers the marketing budget.JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:

The Digital Media Marketing & Communications Manager will develop, implement, manage, track and optimize both the ongoing development of content for all channels and a digital media strategy for GDOT.The role requires an innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can connect digital to all other aspects of the Department’s programs and drive growth opportunities. The Digital Marketing & Communications Manager should have great understanding of how digital interactions fit into broader customer experiences on the Department’s web page and throughout education campaigns. This individual combines the Department’s business objectives and online strategies with a strong background in the content development and digital marketing categories to deliver effective traditional and digital communications and marketing approaches. Must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making decisions.This position reports to the Assistant Director of Strategic Communications.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum QualificationsSTATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:·

High school diploma/GED and four (4) years of job-related experience·

OR one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Marketing Spec 3 (GSP072) or position equivalent.AGENCY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:·

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent in a related field.·

Full-time professional experience in digital marketing, managing strategic communications/public relations campaigns.·

Familiarity with marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns.·

Working knowledge of media monitoring software as well as content distribution platforms.·

Possess supervisory experience.·

Demonstrated ability to delegate assignments and evaluate performance and provide feedback to others.·

Demonstrated ability to foster team spirit, motivate and guide employees toward accomplishment of office/department goals.·

Demonstrated ability to create communications plans, press releases, presentations and scripts for various teams and projects.·

Demonstrated ability to determine objectives and strategies to accomplish organizational objectives.·

Proven ability to identify and solve problems and apply innovative solutions to make organizational improvements.·

Verified ability to negotiate to find mutually acceptable solutions; identifies and analyzes complex problems, creates alternative workable solutions to complex problems.·

Possess strong written and oral communication skills as well as editing/proofreading needs within the office and amongst internal departments across the organization.·

Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels within the organization effectively.·

Demonstrated ability to express facts and ideas by writing in a succinct and organized manner to individuals or groups·

Eight or more years of communications experience for an organization or communications agency, managing high-profile projects and/or clients·

Excellent organization, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills·

Strong relationship building and influencing skills, especially with senior leaders·
