Advanced Energy has devoted four decades to perfecting power for its global customers and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.POSITION SUMMARY:We are looking for an experienced Events Specialist to oversee AE’s global tradeshow program and plan and execute tradeshows and events in the U.S. to the highest standards.The Marketing Communications Specialist (Events) is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and execution of corporate trade shows, exhibitions, and other events to promote the company’s products and services. This role involves managing all aspects of event logistics, including ordering show services, packing and shipping materials, and handling manual labor tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Event Planning and CoordinationPlan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of trade shows and events, including logistics, scheduling, and expense managementMaintain a global calendar of tradeshows and events, working with BUs and SalesPlan U.S. booth layout and design in accordance with AE’s brand guidelinesLiaise with AE product groups, sales and corporate marketing colleagues to coordinate U.S. show messaging and materials including collateral, demos, videos, presentations etc. via regular communications including team meetingsResearch and book venues, negotiate room block contracts with vendors, and arrange for event services such as catering, a/v, etc.Coordinate execution of overseas tradeshows with regional marketing colleaguesLiaise with AE corporate marketing colleagues to promote events through website, automated email campaigns and social mediaTravel to and provide onsite support at events throughout the year (multi-day events)Oversee the set-up, execution, and tear-down of trade show booths and displaysCreate a regular cadence of pre-event meetings with event objectives, deadlines, logisticsCreate a post-show evaluationOrder Show ServicesIdentify and order show services such as labor, electrical, carpet, furnishings, etc. Coordinate with service providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of servicesManage and track service orders, ensuring compliance with event requirements and budget constraintsMaterial Handling and ShippingPull and pack swag, collateral, and banner stands for trade shows and eventsUnderstand advanced warehouse shipping deadlines and processes.Create and manage shipping labelsHandle manual labor tasks, including lifting and moving boxes up to 30 lbsUnpack return shipments and organize materials for future useInventory ManagementMaintain an inventory of all supplies and order supplies as neededBudget ManagementDevelop and manage event budgets. Monitor event costs and implement cost-saving measures where possible.QUALIFICATIONS:4-7 years of experience in event management or marketingStrong sense of what works in event promotionExcellent communication, interpersonal and project management skillsExcellent customer services skills; being the face of AE at each eventAbility to manage multiple deadlines, calendars, and tasks. Project management capabilities will be critical to successDemonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skillsDetail-oriented and results drivenAbility to work with all levels and all regions of the company.EDUCATION:BA or BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent education/experienceCOMPENSATION:As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
