We are looking for a talented, highly creative and hard-working senior children’s designer to join the Campbell team. The Campbell list is rich, diverse and full of all types of novelty books for children aged 0–6. This is a full-time role and the successful applicant will be based in our London office, with three days in-house.Your role:

The Senior Designer role is a stimulating and wide-ranging role – in a typical day you might be designing and creating a cover, writing an artwork brief, commenting on roughs and developing highly finished visuals and mock-ups for sales material.Your key responsibilities:

Collaborating with design colleagues, including supporting junior members of the team as well as the editorial, production and sales teams to create fun and educational novelty books.Maintaining a high level of design across existing series, including taking ownership of a large-scale programme.Delivering new titles and bringing forward new ideas.Handling the creative process from inception to final artwork, while ensuring adherence to budget and deadlines.Taking a proactive approach to problem-solving will be invaluable in identifying issues, interpreting feedback and delivering innovative designs.Essential experience, abilities and knowledge you’ll need to succeed:

Extensive understanding of novelty format design.Proven experience working as a Designer in children’s book publishing.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to remain calm under pressure.High level of commercial awareness.Desirable skills we’d love you to have:

Knowledge of the Google for Work suite and Biblio.What you’ll get in return:
