Director Communications, Monitoring (Cambridge, MA)Drive a world-class integrated communications program for Philips’ Monitoring Business. You have the overarching responsibility to deliver high-quality internal/external communication services to the leadership and the global employee base, including employee engagement, customer experience, thought leadership, and transformation programs.You’ll be a part of The Business Communications team, which is part of Philips’ Communications & Brand organization that drives the company’s brand and reputation management and delivery of high-quality communication services to the leadership of Philips. You will be based in Cambridge, Massachusetts and report to the Global Head of Business Communications and Communications Business Partner for Monitoring, and serve as a Leadership Team member in the Monitoring Business Unit(s). Monitoring is part of the Connected Care segment and comprises three Business Units: Hospital Patient Monitoring, Ambulatory Monitoring and Diagnostics, and Emergency care. The Monitoring Business is the #1 market leader, creating the future of patient care management by connecting care inside and outside the hospital.Your role:Develop fully integrated communications plans that contribute to the success of Monitoring and its employee engagement.Work with a team of senior communications professionals, synthesizing commercial objectives with reputation and brand objectives and co-building global comms plans and campaigns from a business and markets perspective.Provide overarching communications counsel and capability building to the Monitoring business leader and management team, taking an active role as a Communications representative in one (or more) Business Unit’s Leadership Teams, serving as a trusted advisor to their leader(s).Lead, develop, and deploy the internal/external communications plan, including support for the company’s reputation, brand, culture, and transformation programs.Manage issues and crisis communications in coordination with Philips’ central External Relations team and contribute to integration programs of mergers, acquisitions, and divestments. Lead key Monitoring events, including participation in key trade/business events and internal global webcasts.Support leaders to reach employee engagement scores through the delivery of communications guidance and community building through social channels. Manage annual program budget, agency, and measurement of all programs.You're the right fit if:A results-oriented senior communications leader with 8+ years’ experience in strategic B2B communications/marketing in an international/matrixed environment. Master’s degree is a nice to have.Strong understanding of/affinity with technology, data, and healthcare innovation topics and strong senior stakeholder management skills: you are a confident and fact-based advisor to senior management and a trusted strategic partner.Proven track record of leading, building, and coaching highly engaged and high-performing global teams. Proven track record of driving strategic, complex programs and planning processes, with many moving parts, across a wide variety of organizational pockets.High energy, creativity, and demonstrated ability to build key relationships and lead to positively influence stakeholders and drive effective collaboration. Ability to navigate a high-paced business environment typical for a data and software-driven business area which is preparing to globally scale its reach and activities.Native-level English (written and spoken); proven ability to write and steer work for impactful speeches, presentations, blogs, opinion pieces, etc. Strong project management skills and agency management experience.You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this office position.About PhilipsWe are a health technology company.
