The Community & Marketing Coordinator serves a vital role in fulfilling the Community Foundation of Utah’s mission by championing our work, cultivating and maintaining key relationships, and administering critical philanthropic resources for our community.Position:

The Community & Marketing Coordinator fills a critical and multifaceted role at the Community Foundation of Utah (CFU). We are seeking a dynamic professional eager to harness the power of community-based philanthropy. Candidates for this role must have a passion for philanthropy and an interest in the intersection of marketing and community development.CFU is a dynamic organization dedicated to catalyzing philanthropy in Utah by maximizing the potential of every philanthropic dollar. Over the past fifteen years, CFU has deployed over $550 million in grants to nonprofit organizations, while spearheading a variety of community initiatives to address our state’s most pressing challenges. CFU seeks professionals who embrace full ownership of their roles and are inspired to work with an organization building a better future for Utah.What You Will Do:Board Administration and Communications:Coordinate and execute quarterly Board meetingsWork with the CEO to schedule meetings with the Board and CommitteesCoordinate agenda and meeting material preparation with the CEO and additional staffManage online meeting rooms and troubleshoot technological difficulties with meeting attendeesCollect official documents from Board and Committee members as neededCoordinate with the CEO and CFO to manage Board purchases and allocate budget as neededUpdate Board and Committee onboarding materialsUpdate Board and Committee term trackers, contact information, and other administrative tasks as neededMarketing:Execute marketing activities to increase CFU’s broader brand awareness and promote CFU’s services to new audiences. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Implement LinkedIn marketing activitiesDraft and send email newsletters to donors, nonprofits, and other audiencesUpdate website as neededDevelop thought leadership and community highlights blog contentCreate print mail materials such as flyers, cards, and other donor communicationsSupport Marketing Manager as neededGraphic design support as neededEvent Management & Support:Plan and Execute Annual Board Retreat and LuncheonSelect and manage bookings with venues and/or cateringCoordinate Board and Committee members, staff, and guest speaker arrivalsCreate ice-breaker activities, community building content, and take-home materialsSource and/or design co-branded gifts for Board and Committee membersCoordinate Continuing Education PresentationsSend marketing campaigns to prospective accounting, law, and wealth management firmsCoordinate presentation scheduling with guest speakersSupport CFU eventsDevelop event marketing materials such as invitations, order forms, and agendasBrand slide decks and other presentation materialsAssist with event set-up and take down for branded banners, tablecloths, and tech as neededOffice Administration:Respond to inquiries and schedule meetings as neededSupport IT vendor; general IT requests & needsGeneral office administration duties or special projects as neededWhat Experience You Will Need:A passion for the power of community-driven philanthropy to solve some of our communities greatest challengesA minimum of two years’ work experience in a professional office environmentStrong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent research, writing, editing, and communication skillsOutstanding interpersonal skills and a desire to connect with community members, staff, and CFU’s Board of DirectorsA desire to learn and grow with a “can do” attitude, broaden skill set and knowledgeFacile with core Microsoft programs and high level of digital literacyWillingness to work occasional evenings or weekendsData collection and evaluation experience a plusWho You Are:Intrigued by the potential of innovative philanthropy to transform communitiesWilling and able to adapt, change or streamline processes based on shifting priorities, changing circumstances, and/or stakeholder resources and capacityUnderstand the value and impact of continuous learning and iterationUnafraid of the unknown or unfamiliarComfortable with financial complexity and able to effectively apply financial information to grantmaking processes and other relevant tasksData-driven, employing an iterative process of outcomes-based planning, problem solving, and decision makingTransparent communicator open to both give and receive constructive feedbackAbility to juggle multiple and disparate priorities efficiently and smoothlyEager to empathize with, and integrate, diverse perspectives and approachesSubmit your resume to
