up to 25%, including local and out-of-state travelAbout the RoleFarmgirl Flowers is looking for a creative and driven Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team! In this role, you’ll report to the Sr. Manager of Revenue and will be a key contributor in developing and executing marketing campaigns, writing compelling content, managing our social media presence, and coordinating with various teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing activities. In addition to working on-site, this role will require travel to other company locations to collaborate or capture assets for marketing communications and campaigns.The Marketing Communications Specialist will drive business growth by crafting and launching strategic marketing campaigns that increase traffic and sales and continuously optimizing performance for maximum impact. The most important aspect of this role is the ability to learn the Farmgirl brand voice - which is not sales-y or marketing-y in any way. You’ll be someone who can write like you talk - in an informal, friendly, and inclusive way. We’re also looking for someone who can ideate and likes to come up with innovative and fun ideas that are outside of the box.Marketing CampaignsDevelop creative marketing campaigns from ideation to execution that align with our brand voice and resonate with our target audience across various channels, including social media, email, SMS, paid advertising, and partnerships.

Use in-house CRM tools to create, test, and deploy multi-channel marketing campaigns.

Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Contribute to positive CRM audience growth through personalization, segmentation, and targeting efforts.

Oversee the marketing & content calendar, ensuring all marketing activities are planned, scheduled, and executed on time.

Adhere to processes and initiatives that support our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) mission, ensuring all marketing efforts reflect our commitment to these values.

Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned.

Content CreationWrite engaging and persuasive copy for emails, social media posts, ads, and other marketing materials. You’ll need to be able to learn and write in the Farmgirl voice, which is informal, friendly, and approachable.

Develop high-quality content for various platforms, including blog posts, newsletters, press releases, and website copy, as needed.

Work with our creative teams to develop branding ideas, graphic designs, promotional materials, and advertising copies for marketing communications.

Cross-functional CoordinationCollaborates daily with Revenue, Sales, and Operations teams to identify opportunities and pivot messaging to ensure product sell-through.

Works with Sr. Manager, Revenue to identify opportunities to improve long and short-term marketing communication processes.

Consistently creates, updates, and maintains marketing communication processes and procedures.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Revenue, Creative, Product, and Operations, to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns and company initiatives.

Ensure marketing language and communications align with constantly changing perishable product launches and seasonal changes.

Identifies and communicates trend changes in consumer buying behavior and customer personas through regular share-outs.

Partnerships & Social OutreachCommunicating and maintaining relationships with contacts for approved partnerships, ensuring all collaborative efforts align with brand goals and strategies.

Assist with the execution of social media giveaways, including planning, coordination, and follow-up to maximize engagement and reach.

Schedule content posting across various platforms, ensuring timely and consistent delivery of marketing materials.

Work closely with creative teams to develop necessary assets for social campaigns, including graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.

Identify and develop partnerships with influencers, affiliates, and other key stakeholders.

Manages daily social communication, consumer listening, sentiment reporting, and assists customer service with any responses as needed.

QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing and campaign management in D2C eCommerce. While not required, former knowledge of the flower, consumer gifting, or perishability is a plus. The ultimate candidate for this role will also understand that our business includes four peak periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Mother’s Day) and that long hours are required to successfully complete these peaks.Additional qualifications include:Proven experience in digital marketing, campaign ideation, and coordination.

Strong copywriting skills with a portfolio showcasing your work.

Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Mailchimp/CRMs).

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail.

Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.

Strong execution skills and a tactile approach to tasks.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $70,000 annually.Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage are also available for employees. Employees can enroll in our Flexible Spending Accounts program and the company’s 401k plan, which includes a company match. Fringe benefits are available for this role.
