The Office of Communications has the honor of telling the story of the great work being done across the organization to support our community through video, print, web and social media platforms. The Digital Content Specialist will help the team provide timely and transparent messaging to our social media audience and help us grow in the space to reach more residents, businesses and partners. Our flexible 4-10 work schedule provides employees with a great work-life balance.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

Strong digital communications and social media marketing skills.Experience in the Adobe Suite, various social media platforms and related software.Social media analytics tools and report generation.The ability to work evenings or weekends, on occasion, for special event or emergency coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in mass communications, journalism, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience. Experience in addition to the job requirement may substitute on a year for year basis for education.Experience

: Two years related experience with communications, public affairs, or marketing with an emphasis on social media. Requires a working knowledge of graphic design, photography, and videography. Candidates must exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.Physical Demands:

Work requires heavy physical exertion and effort.Please Note:

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Arizona Driver's License required

Preferred / Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in a municipal or government setting.Considerable experience in all aspects of digital communications and social media marketing.Experience with videography, photography, graphic design, and web.Experience communicating with the public, in person, on camera or through other digital platforms.
