Job Overview:

The Marketing Specialist coordinates the preparation and production of marketing materials for Safe-Guard and our clients. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the project management, development, and maintenance of tactical marketing initiatives including collateral, POP, web content, channel/dealer marketing sites, press releases, advertising, and social media. This role will have the ability to interface effectively at various levels inside and outside of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Implements tactical marketing initiatives and assists with the development of strategic marketing programs for Safe-Guard and our clients.

Scopes out projects, develops timelines, assists in creative and copy development where appropriate, shepherds projects through internal and external review and approval, and facilitates hand-off to production with the creative team.

Responsible for managing overall timelines and budgets for production.

Prepares weekly project status reports and holds project status meetings with internal and external team members as necessary.

Ensures overall programs and executions accurately reflect the Safe-Guard brand and corporate identity guidelines and our Client’s brands and corporate identity guidelines.

Fosters strong relationships with internal colleagues (e.g. Account Management, Sales/Training, Legal) and client personnel.

Maintains electronic and hard copy files of all printed and electronic materials.

Assists with reviewing and optimizing marketing warehouse inventory reports (Low Stock, Inactive, etc.).

Assists with managing content for safe-guardproducts.com, and Safe-Guard social channels.

Assists with public relations and corporate communications for Safe-Guard.

Assists with internal communications and corporate events for Safe-Guard.

Support Safe-Guard’s new business activity as needed (written proposal development, presentation preparation and delivery).

Tracks marketing expenses against budget, and reports variances.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or equivalent.

2-4 years of experience in marketing, advertising or communications experience, either client or agency side (including account/client management, media management, project management). Automotive or similar dealer-based experience an advantage.

Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications.

Strong project management skills a requirement.

Strong interpersonal skills essential.

Demonstrated experience working across teams in complex matrix organizations.

Demonstrated knowledge of print and collateral material production and advertising production in order to interface effectively with clients, agencies, and vendors. Knowledge of Interactive production an advantage.

Demonstrated experience working with clients.

Ability to work independently and handle complex projects in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Google SmartSheet) a plus.

Knowledge of creative applications (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator), PR applications (PR Newswire, etc.), and web content applications (WordPress, etc.) a plus.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
