We work as the quantitative right-hand for the executive team with a passion for supporting data-driven decision making, a devotion to advanced techniques, along with a creative team spirit!The Data Analyst 3 role on the Marketing Optimization Analytics team is responsible for collecting, analyzing and presenting data to improve decision making around short-term and long-term marketing performance and optimization. This role will work closely with multiple partners across the organization to drive performance through results insights, customer analyses and marketing strategy.The ideal candidate is a self-starter and strong technical contributor who is always looking for new opportunities to solve business problems with data-driven tools. The individual should be highly curious about the business and possess the skills to unlock rich, nuanced insights from complicated data and communicate those insights in a way that drives positive business outcomes.A day in the life…In this role, you will get to dig into the inner workings of marketing to support our media team (such as SEO, Paid Search and Shopping, Social, Display, and Affiliates). Your work will be crucial to support Nordstrom media team to meeting its goals by supporting optimization around marketing tactics and budgets.Deliver high-impact data products to drive insights and visualize marketing performance.Partner with marketing teams to identify the best measurement strategy and KPIs.Dive deep into complex business problems and provide insights on performance through hypothesis testing and monitoring trends in key metrics.Collaborate with Customer Analytics team and business partners to deliver high quality solutions and recommendations to a variety of problems within marketing and customer, responsible for campaign pre and post analysis, cohort analysis, incrementality test, experiment design, segmentation, performance measurement and more.Bring data to life through storytelling in a clear and meaningful way to audiences with mixed levels of technical expertise.Reconcile competing priorities from multiple stakeholders.Influence and support the standards and best practices of analytics.Use advanced analytical and statistical practices to create thorough and actionable insights.Proactively create partnerships with stakeholders on data analysis problems.Build SQL statements and data analysis with multiple tools (DBeaver, R, Python, Tableau, Excel, Snowflake, Google Analytics, etc.)You own this if you have…Bachelors degree in quantitative field (such as marketing, statistics, math, economics or related quantitative discipline).
