CYMG focuses on 3 main areas:
Education
- CYMG provides music students of all socio-economic backgrounds equal opportunity access to quality music instruction. Advanced students also have the opportunity to coach younger students under the guidance of professional teaching artists.
Performance
- All CYMG students share their music with the public and develop their confidence through multiple performances throughout the year.
Service
- All CYMG students serve the community through performances and workshops at charity events, convalescent homes, children’s hospitals, and the like. We provide quality, low-cost music instruction in schools and community spaces, offering financial assistance for tuition to families proving need. Additionally, we provide community service and performance opportunities to our students, encouraging them to serve the community through music.
We are a small music education non-profit looking for a graphic designer who appreciates chamber music to design a promotional package (posters, flyers, postcards, patches, stickers, etc.) to enhance our outreach efforts. We aim to expand our outreach to offer low-cost string and chamber music lessons to more students.
Please note that although this is a remote opportunity, volunteers in the Pacific Time Zone are preferred, especially in Southern California.
