Overview:Our client, a global medical device company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Content Developer who will create comprehensive instructional labeling for cutting-edge medical devices for clinical and commercial products.

Responsibilities:Maintains advanced knowledge of the businesses’ products and the therapies in which they are used.Partners with subject matter experts to develop content to achieve specific and immediate business objectives. Metrics will be used to determine the effectiveness of content.Understands the design control process and can complete the required documentation for a project.Develops content with content management system and other tools, creates output mechanisms, and analyzes system workflow.Forecasts and meets project deadlines and budgets. Takes the initiative to report on project status and anticipates and alerts the manager and internal customers of potential project difficulties.Assists in maintaining art, photo, electronic, and printed document files to meet departmental and regulatory requirements.Facilitates discussions and represents the Technical Communication team.Clarifies and maintains departmental policies and procedures.Seeks ongoing knowledge of industry, regulatory, linguistic, and publication standards and applies this knowledge to complete all projects.Requirements:A bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to perform the job's essential functions successfully may be considered.A minimum of 7 years of writing labeling for medical devices - writing/editing, graphic design, or project management in a heavily regulated environment (devices, software-only products).Supporting Design controls, producing five different documents (Requirements document – developing low-level requirements specific to labeling, protocol, plan – defines how to verify labeling against requirements, report/summary – wraps it all up and communicates if verification passed, outlines any problems, summary report at the end as well).Author in XML (using Oxygen which is an XML editor).Working in a CMS – content management system - for publishing.Experience taking on process improvement initiatives (help develop procedures, keep a keen eye on how to be more lean).Software skills with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Astoria.High-level knowledge of desktop publishing systems and competency in PC usage, especially Adobe products, XML, XSLT, and CSSs.
