Responsibilities:Responding to e-mail inquiriesSending appropriate correspondence, as instructedGreeting all visitors, faculty, staff, students, prospective students and families in a professional mannerFiling necessary documents in student filesLeading informed tours of the Newman Center for the Performance Arts for prospective students and their guestsProviding administrative support as requestedTransporting packages and/or suppliesAssisting with social media content curationOther duties as assignedMeeting Obligations:Arriving to work on time and remaining for the entire scheduled timeCompleting all assigned tasksFollowing all procedures and protocols for the officeKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Basic knowledge of email and word processorsBasic knowledge of music, including genres, instruments, and the basic audition processAbility to work independently with little oversightKnowledge of professional verbal and written communicationRequired Qualifications:Full-time Undergraduate or Graduate student at the University of DenverPreferred Qualifications:Ability to greet all visitors with a friendly and professional mannerBasic computer knowledge, e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, WordSelf-starter who recognizes the general operating needs of the officeAbility to work in a lively environment with frequent drop-ins by faculty, staff, and guestsComfortable sharing a communal desk in an open-concept environmentAbility to work in a moderate noise levelPhysical Activities:Occasionally lifting boxes that weigh 15-20lbsAssisting with Audition days, which may include carrying materials around the building and setting up refreshments for guestsHours:Approximately 10 hours per weekThe Lamont Office of Admission is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pmThe office is closed daily from noon to 1:00pm for lunchSchedules will be assigned around the student’s academic class scheduleEqual Employment Opportunity Statement & Background Check Disclosure:The University of Denver is an equal opportunity employer.
