They also know TCR graduates receive continued coaching services through the end of the first year of employment and that over 70% of TCR graduates stay at their job 1+ years, well above the general average.JOB PURPOSE:The Marketing and Communications Manager creates and implements Twin Cities R!SE’s annual marketing and communications plans within budget and resource allocations. Annual plans are created in collaboration with multiple cross-functional colleagues, and they support TCR’s goals for our key audiences: program participants, employment partners, Empowerment Institute clients, grantors and philanthropic supporters, volunteers, and the community.JOB DETAILS:Employee Type: Full-time, exemptCompensation: $66,000-$80,000 per year, depending on qualificationsLocation: Minneapolis, MinnesotaPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead creation and implementation of TCR’s annual marketing and communication plans, leveraging industry best practices in brand management, direct and indirect marketing, social media, digital, internal, and external communication, business development, outreach initiatives, and public relations.Create, monitor, and evaluate the marketing and communications budget.Develop and implement a storytelling strategy that engages and inspires each key stakeholder audience through various mediums, including written, visual, and digital content.Create an effective marketing automation and AI strategy that utilizes technology to automate tasks, create efficiencies, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.Manage organization website and digital content optimizing brand messaging to each stakeholder group.Utilize Salesforce analytical tools to analyze campaign metrics.Oversee production of organization-wide publications, including the annual report, staff, program, and event materials.Manage media relations, including writing press releases and cultivating relations with local media.Lead the strategy and development of internal communications including organization emails, intranet, teams' site, and other organizational communications.Participate in TCR sponsored events as necessary.Leadership and Supervision:Create and implement prioritization approach that helps the organization optimize its marketing resources across the multiple audiences needing marketing support, ensuring the approach to prioritization is done in a transparent manner.Supervise Marketing & Communication Coordinator and any flexible contract or internship resources.Forecast resource needs, recruit, hire, train and engage staff and contract resources.Serve on the Leadership team.Coordinate messages for CEO and Leadership Team, oversee all public relations messages.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise Marketing & Communication Coordinator and any flexible contract or internship resources.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or communications related field or equivalent background and experience.5-7 years Marketing and/or communications experience.3+ years of experience in supervision of professional level staff.Preferred Education and Experience:Preference for marketing experience in a mission-driven context.Preference for experience marketing to a wide variety of stakeholder groups, including program participants, business partners, funders, volunteers and the community.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to create compelling stories in an engaging style that connects with each audience under a unifying brand.Innovative and creative thinking skills.Strong presentation and public speaking skills.Knowledge of best practices, techniques, and resources in marketing and communications.Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to achieve results both individually and working with others.Commitment to professional development through continuous learning.Excellent skills in organization, attention to detail and time management.Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to meet deadlines.Solid problem-solving skills.Ability to manage direct reports effectively, including the ability to develop rapport and build strong, trusting relationships.Ability to work cross-culturally.Ability to develop and maintain professional, collaborative relationships.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Commitment to engaging in diversity, equity and inclusion efforts across the organization.Ability to travel throughout the Twin Cities metro area to attend meetings and other events.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Must be able to perform the primary duties and responsibilities of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Physical Demands:Ability to use a PC/laptop, requiring repetitive motion of fingers, hands and wrists.Required to occasionally move about in an office environment to access file cabinets, printers, etc., and remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.Ability to lift light materials & equipment in a typical office environment (up to 15 lbs.).Work Environment:Typical office environment.Work schedule: Occasional evenings and/or weekends will be required (workweek will be adjusted accordingly).Location/structure of work: Position is hybrid; employee will be expected to work in the TCR office weekly.Travel requirements: Position will be expected to travel throughout the Twin Cities metro area to attend meetings and other events.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Twin Cities R!SE offers competitive compensation commensurate with background and experience. This is a full-time position with a salary range from $66,000-$80,000 annually.
