This is a Full-Time Non Civil Service Position with Metro Action Commission with medical, dental, pension, and other insurance benefits.

Implementation of the agency’s marketing and external messaging through coordination with local, state and national media partners and marketing platforms that positively impact the agency’s external image and brand recognition. Ensures the agency’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is demonstrated in all print, digital, broadcast and other modes of communications. Supports and works in alignment with the Brand and Internal Communications Manager to ensure the continuity of messaging across initiatives. Uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of the MAC including exemplary internal and external customer service, teamwork and treatment of all persons with respect, dignity and compassion.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the initiatives of the Communications unit.Coordination of all marketing related duties, initiatives and activities.Ensure compliance with all media practices and policies as well as ensure integrity of communications, messaging and image.Attention to detail, accuracy and relevancy of information, events and initiatives that promote, partner or collaborate with the agency programs, services and activities.Elevates the agency’s external communications and engagement through innovative practices, approaches, initiatives, partnerships and opportunities.Support program specific initiatives, programs and activities by partnering with program leaders and designated team members.SUPERVISION EXERCISED/SUPERVISION RECEIVED

This position is directly supervised by the Brand and Internal Communications Manager.WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work environment involves the everyday risks or discomforts, which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. This classification works primarily in an office setting under generally favorable working conditions. There may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree related to marketing from an accredited college or university; or an Associate’s Degree with at least 2 years of marketing related experience and participation in a marketing related internship or apprenticeship connected to college or university required coursework.PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Demonstration of marketing planning and implementation.Knowledge of marketing practices, standards and protocol.Knowledge of marketing, public relations, and effective communications principles.Skill in interpreting and disseminating information.Ability to grasp complex business issues to contribute effective solutions to drive business success.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Ability to coordinate multiple activities.Ability to research and resolve problems.Ability to establish and implement rules, policies and/or procedures.Ability to participate in local, state, regional and national travel.Shall be a resident of the State of Tennessee or become a resident of the state within six (6) months of employment with the Metropolitan Government.The Marketing Coordinator will play a crucial role in executing marketing strategies, creating engaging content, and driving marketing efforts.Manage social media accounts, schedule posts, engage with followers, and track performance metrics.Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.Monitor and analyze campaign performance, generate reports, and provide insights to improve future marketing efforts.Ensure all marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent brand voice.Assist with Agency events and conferences.Create marketing campaign content and material for publication.
