As part of a dynamic team, the Communications Specialist will support communication efforts to further the Graduate School's strategic goals and initiatives through print and digital communications, marketing projects and public relations efforts. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Communications.Responsibilities:Work collaboratively with members of communication team to execute a variety of marketing campaigns for offices within the Graduate School's portfolio.Write various news stories, press releases and marketing materials to promote Graduate School programs.Develop and execute email communications to campus stakeholders, including official remarks and announcements.Provide strategic marketing, advertisement and communication for events to increase brand awareness and outreach goals.Work with campus partners to update content for the Graduate School's recruitment marketing campaign.Support content strategy and production for the Graduate School's social media platforms.Assist with maintaining content on Graduate School websites.Work with external vendors including graphic designers on print and digital projects.Work with communications colleagues in the Provost's and President's Offices to support central communications strategies and brand standards.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or related discipline with at least five years of experience in related communications positions; strong writing skills; and experience with digital communications strategies and platforms.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in related discipline; professional experience in marketing/communications in higher education; demonstrated experience in graphic design and/or website design; familiarity with graduate education.Salary Range:
