The Designer role is responsible for taking a graphical idea/concept to an aesthetic solution which fulfills the client's goals. In doing so, the solution will work within and progress the UMB brand. This position requires an understanding of digital and print advertising with an emphasis on digital mediums and will work independently with general supervision.How You Will Spend Your TimeCreate Online banner and web designs;Create concept and design buildout for assigned advertising campaign;Manage personal workload and provide accurate timelines for projects;Stay ahead of technology, keeping up-to-date with new practices within the graphical and advertising fields;Other duties as assigned...We're excited to talk with you ifYou have a College Degree in Graphic Design plus 3+ years' experience within graphic or interactive design field OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent backgroundYou have the ability to take an idea to a well-implemented visual print layoutYou have a fundamental understanding of grid layout, typography, and color theoryYou have a fundamental understanding of motion graphics for online bannersYou have a strong verbal and visual communication skillsYou have the ability to work independently and within a team environmentYou have knowledge of the Adobe Suite and particular expertise with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesignYou have knowledge of working with a copywriter and limited independent copywriting expertiseYou have experience working within a content management system (CMS)You have an understanding of online campaign banner ad formatsCompensation RangeMinimum $47,145.00 - Mid Point $62,895.00The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
