POSITION SUMMARY

The Multimedia Content Creator supports marketing objectives by creating multimedia content that captures audiences’ interests, applying technical and creative storytelling skills, and shepherding content creation projects from start to finish. While the primary purpose is development and production of video content, it also requires a combination of technical knowledge; a working knowledge of graphic communication including video and audio production, multimedia editing, photography skills; the ability to create storytelling scripts and captions; and an understanding of how multimedia is created and formatted for use on social media and websites. This position requires a dynamic, professional, energetic, creative, highly detailed and organized individual who can balance multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ideation, planning, scheduling, organizing, and producing content for a variety of platforms, utilizing best practices and techniques.

Overseeing production needs, including recording content and setting up lighting and audio engineering; ability to move equipment.

Video editing, color correcting, green screening, animations. This position will need to be versed in audio editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, photo editing programs, and other video/audio tools;

Researching and assessing new content production methods and technology, and makes recommendations for new equipment and process enhancements, as appropriate;

Placing content on social media channels and the website;

Maintaining content library and backups, supplying video footage/content to partnering organizations as needed;

Oversee and work with external vendors and student interns/work studies to identify and capture content opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate Degree with significant years of related experience required.

At least two years of experience preferred, which can include internship experience.

Possess strong creative writing and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of audio, video, graphic and digital production/communication technology.

Must have advanced computer skills related to digital marketing and multimedia development field such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, photo editing programs, and other video/audio tools.

Working knowledge of web content management systems preferred.

Familiarity with social media platforms preferred.

Knowledge and understanding of the College to effectively communicate information about Le Moyne to an internal or external audience.

Must demonstrate sensitivity to the importance of Le Moyne’s Jesuit tradition.

Possess excellent organizational skills and be attentive to details.

Must be self-directed, but a team player and have the ability to work under tight deadlines and on several projects simultaneously.
