Albany Campus, Albany, ORJob Summary:This student-employment position collaborates with and supports the Credit for Prior Learning ( CPL ) Program team by performing a variety of clerical and marketing tasks related to the development and implementation of the program’s infrastructure.The student will assist with social-media content, event planning support, marketing, community outreach, and help with program maintenance and process efficiencies.The student will perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, copying, and other general office support tasks as assigned.Required Qualifications:Education and Experience:Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at

LBCC , maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better, and have financial aid in place to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity at Linn-Benton Community College.Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.A minimum of one year’ experience in general clerical or administrative assistance using Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and experience with navigating and developing multiple social media platforms is required. Experience with Google Workplace, Canva, and working knowledge of Social Media platforms, development, content creation, audience development and general maintenance.Skills and Abilities:

Must possess strong organizational, time management, customer service and communication skills.Requires basic office operations knowledge and clerical skills and competencies.Must be a team player who takes initiative. Must be able to work cooperatively and independently.Requires good organizational skills with the ability to maintain workflow in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions.Must be able to perform the duties of the position efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.Requires patience, good listening skills, and proactive communication.Must be able to keep confidences and protect confidentiality.Must be able to work respectfully with individuals from all educational levels, cultural backgrounds and perspectives.Preferred Qualifications:

Students with demonstrated experience with marketing, computers, word processing, accurate typing and spelling are preferred.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Physical Skills and Abilities:Position involves periods sitting at a computer plus light to medium work, which includes, kneeling, and carrying and lifting of light to medium weight materials (10 to 25 pounds).Must be able to operate a computer and general office equipment.Requires ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.Lifting, pushing, pulling and bending light to medium weight materials is often required for setting up and breaking down eventsWorking Conditions:

Work is normally performed in an office setting with little or no exposure to health and safety hazards.Occasional travel to offsite community events within Linn and Benton Counties is required. Considerable time is spent working at a computer.Provides clerical and administrative support to Program Specialists, Faculty, and Director as needed.Works respectfully and helps maintain a positive, friendly atmosphere within the

program research, implementing assigned tasks for infrastructure development.Creates internal processes and assists to evaluate effectiveness and improved efficiencies where needed.Collaborates with staff to onboard and develop Social Media platforms, brand development, content creation, and general maintenance.Prepares marketing and promotional materials for special events, and performs other related support activities for related activities.Assists with the planning and implementation of community outreach, including networking activities and communications to college students, staff, faculty, and the broader community, utilizing social-media, LBLive, email, fliers, posters, website, etc.Provides general clerical support, including data entry, file maintenance, copying, electronic scanning and filing for a variety of office projects, online applications and systems maintenance. May schedule meetings and staff appointments and make travel arrangements as needed.Collaborates with staff, seeks guidance regarding workflow prioritization, and completes assigned tasks in a timely and effective manner.Generates, receives, and maintains confidential and sensitive files, information and reports and ensures confidentiality.Performs other related duties as assigned.Please complete the online application.
