The Grand Center for Arts and Culture, IncPosition DescriptionPosition Title : Marketing & Arts CoordinatorResponsible to : Executive DirectorExemption Status : Exempt Full Time - 40 hours/weekPURPOSE OF POSITION:Working with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, help to market, communicate and develop funding sources for arts and cultural programming that fit with the organization’s Strategic Plan. Develop marketing and communications for our programs and foster relationships within the region that will lead to increased funding for the organization.RESPONSIBILITIES:Marketing & CommunicationWork with the Executive Director to promote The Grand in the community, at events, meetings and with patrons.Work with various media outlets to ensure The Grand’s work is in the public eye, including writing press releases and engaging the media.Develop and promote social media content for Facebook, Instagram and Constant Contact emails.Manage our web site, including art class inventory, entertainment and other calendars.Create content, design layout and help produce a thrice yearly newsletter.Design other signage and materials related to programming and events.Programming & DevelopmentWork with designated gallery artists from application through exhibit dates to ensure a high quality experience for the artist and the public, including with our new Smallest Museum in Minnesota program.Work with art teachers to develop and implement programming in our arts education area.Work with Executive Director to develop and implement annual membership campaign and thank you follow-up. Cultivate ongoing donor relationships to ensure increased funding for programs.Track donations using HubSpot, Excel and other software.GeneralAssist with other program management and events, as needed.Perform general office work, including program mailings and donor communications.Support the Grand Kabaret and our regular music series.Assist in marketing & staffing Artisan Gift Shop.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:Strong written and verbal communications skills.Comfort level with all types of technology, including In Design, Adobe Creative Suite, and be experienced in varied social media and design platforms.Marketing Experience in a Business Environment.Able to speak publicly and interact positively with all stakeholders.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:Exceptionally organized.Hardworking and committed to our mission.Energetic and adaptable.Flexibility to changing work requirements.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Requires occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.Requires the ability to work for several hours at a time at a desk.Typically bends, stoops, and crouches on a regular basis for several hours at a time.Requires frequent use of a computer.Some evening and weekend work required.
