Arts, Humanities and Social SciencesGeneral Description:SUNY Niagara has a need for a part-time Music Instructor for our Foundations of Music Theory course. This course is taught in person in a classroom setting on our Sanborn, NY campus. This is an introductory course that presents the basics of musical notation, covering topics such as melodic and rhythmic notation, clefs, scales, key signatures, principles of rhythm, and chord symbols. The course is recommended for non-music majors or students without previous music experience. (Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.)Remuneration for this position is: $915 per lecture hour/$819 per lab hour.In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates for this position, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening.
