Job Purpose and ImpactThe

Marketing Manager - Foodservice, Primary Division

will provide thought leadership to design and implement marketing strategies and activities for customers, products, services and solutions within the Primary Division and destined for the Foodservice Channel. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally to develop customer driven strategies, value propositions, experiences, communications and new product customer solutions and concepts. You will optimize channels, help generate leads and engage customers to activate and deliver customer value through the customer decision journey and achieve customer driven growth. Ultimately, you will enable the business to execute on various strategic objectives while simultaneously fostering success of our customer-facing sales teams.

Key AccountabilitiesDrive brand value through distinctive marketing to develop and implement unique and compelling strategic positioning as well as overall exceptional customer experience.Provide expert leadership to develop and implement strategic marketing plans, promotions and annual plans and define resource allocation across product or service categories, brands and customer segments.Collaborate with the sales and insights teams, influence and align marketing initiatives with channel optimization, brand activations, value propositions and product and category plans to ensure integrated marketing activities support a consistent customer experience.Provide expert guidance on the planning and creation of marketing, advertising and sales promotion materials to implement overall marketing strategies and sales objectives.Create marketing calendars structured around financial priorities and key results, with objectives layered over quarter, year and multi-year horizons.Apply advanced knowledge of customer priorities to contribute identifying areas where additional customer profitability and brand growth can be achieved.Collaborate with the commercial team and provide thought leadership to execute robust customer analysis for individual or groups of customers using marketing tools.Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to both internal team members and external customers.Create and support the innovation pipeline by connecting consumer/customer insight with internal capabilities and developing tactical executions to support sell-in.Other duties, as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of six years of related work experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience contributing in value proposition developmentExperience in marketing strategy and planning, digital marketing, campaign planning and execution, performance measurement, demand generation and activation and or content deliveryExperience fostering customer co-creation and/or delivering and leading customer engagement events.Experience utilizing digital and social media channels to communicate core brand features, benefits and attributes.Technical expertise and previous experience working in animal proteins (i.e., beef, ground beef) is an asset for this role.
