The Graphic Designer will be creative, forward-thinking and an essential team member of our dynamic Innovation Team. This position requires a strong design sensibility, a passion for visual storytelling, and the ability to transform complex ideas into engaging visual content. As part of the Innovation Team, The Graphic Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative design solutions that enhance our brand and support our strategic initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Concept Development:Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop innovative design concepts for various projects.Translate abstract ideas and concepts into visually compelling designs.Graphic Design:Create high-quality visual content, including digital graphics, presentations, infographics, and marketing materials.Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.Prototyping and Iteration:Develop prototypes and mock-ups for new design concepts.Iterate on designs based on feedback from team members and stakeholders.Project Management:Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed.Research and Trends:Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.Conduct research to understand the target audience and market trends to inform design decisions.Collaboration:Work closely with the Innovation Team to align design efforts with strategic goals.Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to ensure cohesive and integrated design solutions.Requirements:Qualifications:Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.

Experience:

2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably within an innovation or creative team environment.Proven portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and creative solutions.

Skills:

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with motion graphics, video editing, and/or UX/UI design is a plus.Familiarity with design thinking and human-centered design methodologies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Work Environment:Ability to work in a professional and flexible office environment, with or without visual and audible distractions.Ability to work in multiple settings, including varied agency, school or work-related sites or a home office environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Position may require extended hours including evenings and weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-town travel.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.The employee is regularly required to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing.The employee is required to drive between schools and districts to provide direct service and consultation.The employee may occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
