The 4Schools Visual Designer will provide visual design services for a wide range of areas supporting our Software as a Service (SaaS) products including custom and template website design, user interface design, mobile app User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) design, as well as original illustration for branding and the creation of visual branding for our product lines. This position will work closely with both 4Schools Communications and Student Services SaaS teams in designing new and expanding UI for applications, as well as visual design for our growing brand of software products.The Visual Designer will collaborate closely with product teams as well as work directly with customers in a variety of design projects and in the capacity of focus and advisory groups.This position will be remote, requiring typical business day, M-F, Central Time zone hours.Essential Functions & Responsibilities

As a 4Schools Visual Designer, you will complete, collaborate and/or oversee visual design projects and tasks for both internal and customer projects.Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for custom and template websites and mobile applications.Design original artwork for customers including icons and small illustrations related to their website or mobile app branding and visual communications.Redraw, modify, or create school logos when a brand refresh, logo project and/or branding project has been sold in conjunction with a website design.Design, collaborate and contribute with all our web application user interfaces.Create designs for Android and iOS apps, using strong user experience and mobile app design principles.Research competition, participate in customer user groups and process feedback to continuously improve and create new Premium Theme designs to our website template library.Be responsible for the design end of web accessibility, including working with customers in creative alternatives for a color palette or use of color that aligns with their branding while meeting color contrast requirements.Create 4Schools marketing materials aligned to our existing established visual brand. Materials will include digital and print collateral, newsletter and email design, social media postings, slideshows and more.Contribute to customer newsletters with insights and articles; contribute with the team in ongoing thought leadership especially on design best practices, and the importance of visual design for websites.Participate in all user, focus and advisory groups related to our UI, mobile app and customer website design/UI/UX components. Process feedback and submit actionable requests to the product owners for both usability, product and process improvements.Responsible for scheduling and curating content for social media marketing of the 4Schools product line.May be required to attend in-person conferences and trade show expositions.Requirements

Qualified candidates for this position will possess the following experience:Proficiency in design tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Figma and/or Adobe XDStrong visual design skills, with a portfolio containing website design, user interface design, and/or mobile app designExperience creating original custom designs for websites, webpages, and other user interfaces.Experience with responsive design and designing for accessibilityAbility to create original vector artwork and understanding of both vector and raster designAbility to create on-brand compelling visuals for both web and print designExperience wireframing websites, user interfaces, and mobile app designs preferredSolid understanding of user interface design principles and interaction patterns preferredUnderstanding of visual branding preferredFamiliarity or understanding of front end coding preferredCreation of basic print collateral, marketing materials, and creative social media graphicsHubspot email marketing design preferredCanva design experience preferredStrong command of Google applications (Email, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides, etc.) as well as communication and project management tools including Slack, Jira, Basecamp, AirTable, etc.Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask and handle details efficientlyAbility to take feedback and criticism well and complete revisions that align with customer and stakeholders visionsThrive in a collaborative environment with the ability to execute visually appealing designs independentlyAbility to work with customers both in-person and virtually via web conferencingPossess strong communication and listening skillsSome travel may be required.Work Environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to work in a home office, but highly collaborative, engaged virtual environment, including on-demand chat communication, phone, and video conferencing.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Position may require extended hours including evenings and weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-town travel for trade shows, presentations and meetings.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.The employee is regularly required to effectively communicate in person and virtually, via phone and in writing.The employee is required to occasionally drive to designated locations for consultation, trade shows, customer presentations and/or professional development.The employee may occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.Schedule: 261 days (12 months)View CESA 6 Values hereContact
