DXP is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer for our in-house corporate marketing team.

We seek an experienced creative professional to help us with our media/advertising/marketing collateral development – both digital and print. Typical responsibilities include working with the marketing team and business unit leaders in the development of marketing collateral (internal and external), web content, and advertising materials. The position requires an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and via email with internal staff as well as external suppliers, vendors, and partners.Responsibilities of the Junior Graphic Designer include, but are not limited to:Design, develop, and produce digital and print materials; Key projects include, but are not limited to identity standards, logos, newsletter, email marketing, trade show graphics, signage, event flyers, social media images, postcards, and brochuresEnsure consistency and maintain company's identity, brand integrity, and communication style across all creative effortsDeliver forward-thinking, innovative creative solutions that also preserve the brand's overall look and feelRecreating, reformatting, and resizing existing advertisements and related campaign collateralDeveloping templates for company-wide use for flyers, newsletters, email marketing, etc.Perform ad hoc requests, projects, and special assignments from senior managementSupport and participate in industry trade show activities and eventsStay current and conduct market research analysis to identify electronic commerce trends, market opportunities, or competitor performanceCollaborate with marketing and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing effortsPerform general clerical duties to include but not limited to note-taking, printing, binding, faxing, mailing, and filingProvide general support to our Marketing DepartmentQualifications of the Junior Graphic Designer include, but are not limited to:Bachelor's degree is preferred (Design/Marketing/Communications)2+ years of experience in a professional design roleHigh proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, mainly Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesignSolid understanding of graphic design, typography, and composition principlesAbility to create and organize new assets for projectsAttention to detailExpertise in Microsoft OfficeAbility to effectively assess priorities and work well under tight deadlinesTop-notch verbal and written communication skillsAbility to gain a full understanding of the scope of each project and how to present and explain the design methodology as well as your ideasUX/UI knowledge and basic understanding of codeDemonstrated talent (portfolio that showcases clean and engaging design work)Understanding of current design trends and patterns and keen eye for aestheticsExperience designing for both print and webUnderstanding of production, pre-press, print, and web-based technologiesUnderstanding of current design trends and patternsSolid understanding of marketing principlesMust live within a 40-mile radius from the corporate officeSome travel required for events and trade showsMust have an acceptable driving record according to company guidelines
