Your role with BHCPosition SummaryThe Sr. Marketing Specialist helps to deliver marketing programs designed to drive additional business, primarily through digital marketing, mass media, direct mail, and other forms of traditional advertising focused on the civil engineering industry.Essential FunctionsAssist in the management of a variety of marketing projects, from initiation to implementationContribute to thought leadership and strategy development – a critical, analytical thinker who helps identify challenges and opportunities relative to initiatives and projectsWork with the team to prepare project overviews and updates, conduct third party and competitive research, lead discussions with both internal departments and external partners, analyze program results, and present key updates and findings to the teamPartner with multiple internal departments and external vendors to collaboratively lead the development of a variety of marketing communications projectsPromote brand awareness through marketing effortsConduct marketing research to establish customer trends and habitsCopywriting – quickly understand technical information and craft compelling storiesCoordinate marketing materials - creation, logo item management for service segments, management and updates of SOQ content, segment resumes, project sheets, etc.Graphic design/layout of external and internal communication pieces, marketing collateral, presentation materials, digital marketing, and manage outside print company to meet brand expectationsManage direct mail software system and analytics reporting for creative digital marketingManage website updatesManage media relations by establishing working relationships with media, write releases and pitch article ideas for publicationAttend and represent marketing as a brand ambassador at various networking and industry eventsBrand integrity management – ensure all corporate brand standards are met on everything that leaves the office (digital, print, or tangibles)Social media – use company channels for relationship building, lead generation, market intelligence, and marketing communications representing the companyEvent planning - must seek out locations, plan, and execute client entertainment to support marketing goalsTrade shows – research what shows to attend and coordinate schedule, be on-site as needed to manage any hospitality event we host in conjunction with a show, coordinate marketing communications before and after tradeshows to targets (write and execute), and capture all prospect names/actions in CRM systemProposal coordination - layout, assist in writing, distribution, update resumes and related contentMarket research – assist Business Development with research and information collection of market intelligenceCRM database entries – opportunities, activities, new contact entry, and updatesReporting – update CRM action items, direct mail results, and others to ensure the team continues to pursue leads and follow-ups - keep the wheels in motionPosition RequirementsExperience4+ years of marketing experienceExperience working in the A/E/C - architecture, engineering, construction, or telecom industry preferredDemonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environmentSkillsAbility to communicate effectively with technical staff, project leaders, and the marketing teamAdvanced level with Apple in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator required, certification preferredAble to handle multiple projects and priorities with short deadlinesAdvanced in proposal preparation and designDetail-oriented with solid writing, editing, and graphic design skillsAdvanced database management experience, preferably in Vantagepoint CRMHigh level of expectations for brand management complianceEducationBachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing or communicationsCertifications/Specialty FocusCPSM certification preferred
