Learn more at www.plzcorp.com/careers or visit https://youtu.be/XYNIFpLQIJYThe Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing specific product categories - household cleaners, automotive cleaners and food and will function as a critical link between PLZ and our customers by turning data and insights into actions that unlock product development potential and category growth. This position acts as the category expert in identifying opportunities in the market by assessing trends, monitoring, analyzing and reporting sales data and identifying key customer opportunities consistent with overall company strategies and category marketing plans driving tactics that support category growth.Key Responsibility:Develop an understanding of the Category to enhance strategies and positioning in the market.Focus on maintaining, developing, and defining the product(s) within specific categories, and maintain a category strategy (under the direction of the Brand Leader) to support growth and profitability targets.Perform competitor analysis, analyze sales data, identification of market shifts/trends that impact the business, and creation of actionable insights specific to individual category capabilities.Leverage analytical data/insights and develop category plans to achieve overall category growth around sales, market share, and profit.Develop monthly reports to analyze category performance and guide monthly business planning.Develop customer specific sales presentations.Create ad-hoc business reporting as needed to answer time sensitive questions.Support trade shows with the creation of booth graphics and trade show materials.Responsible for account-based marketing activitiesDevelop and direct marketing/sales collateral such as sell sheets, brochures; etc.Influence product development from an end-user and overall market perspectiveQualifications:The Product Marketing Manager should be results-oriented, possess highly developed quantitative analysis skills, and be a strong communicator.This is a highly cross-functional role interfacing with a broad array of internal teams as well as senior leaders and executives.Applicants should have the following knowledge and experience:Should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in category and/or product marketingExcellent analytical skillsActively using scanned sales data including Nielsen or IRIActively using 3rd party resources for data and insightsProven ability to turn data into actionable insightsSpecific category knowledge a plusAbility to engage, influence and collaborate cross functionallyPLZ Corp offers a robust suite of benefits including:Medical, Dental & Vision benefits.Company paid Life and Short-Term disability.Voluntary benefits including additional life, disability, and hospital/accident insurance.401k & company provided match.Paid Time OffBonus incentive programs (Note, bonuses are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.)All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status or other protected status.
