This is a great opportunity to lead commercialization efforts, support growth plans and create messaging for customer-facing channels to share the Charter Steel brand and story. Come be part of a 4th Generation, Family-Owned business.The Marketing Manager will work cross functionally with respective stakeholders to develop, improve, and execute marketing plans to enter or maintain the business’s position in targeted market segments. This role will lead aspects of the annual Portfolio Planning process to assist with marketing plan development and implementation and support commercialization strategies and growth of product lines. The Marketing Manager will lead the development and messaging of all customer-facing channels including web sites, social media, e-mail campaigns, and collateral materials.What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related degreeSeven plus years’ experience managing B2B customer relationships and driving new business development effortsExperience developing customer acquisition, customer retention and cross sell campaignsExperience in leading engagements with an external marketing agencyExperience with strategic business planningExperience in marketing systems/principles as they relate to volume/cost/price relationshipPrevious success leading others in cross-functional teamsDemonstrated ability to collaborate and influence others throughout the organizationDemonstrated interpersonal skills that enable successful communication with all levels of the business and with external customersKnowledge of process control and Continuous Improvement systemsStrong creative skills with the ability to connect customer needs with business needs and the appropriate messaging to drive resultsKnowledge of cost and margin drivers and their value in the marketProficiency with Marketing Technologies (Web CMS, Marketing Automation, CRM)Demonstrate by example a specific product or process launch that integrated a portfolio planning process that involved cross functional teams, such as the introduction of a new software platform that required coordination between product development, marketing, sales, and customer support teamsWhat we’d prefer:

Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related advanced degreeStrong working knowledge of the metals manufacturing industryProven project management experience in the implementation and management of multiple projects designed for product improvement and growthPractical experience in the application and administration of marketing management requirements in a manufacturing environmentWhat you’ll do:

Lead design and deployment of cross-functional strategies to execute new market and product opportunitiesLead the development and messaging of all customer-facing channels including website, future website development, e-mail campaigns, collateral materials, etcLead efforts to identify and protect brand identity and customer facing value propositionLead the VOC (Voice of Customer) efforts during the annual Portfolio Planning process to gain insights on programs and messaging needed to acquire and retain customersLead and participate in the annual portfolio planning process and associated marketing plan development and executionProvide major support to Sustainability strategy and reporting requirements based on Commercial needsLead market promotional activity and communications for both prospects and current customers with press and trade publicationsDevelop and maintain an annual Marketing budget that accomplishes business goals and objectivesCoordinate and lead (as applicable) involvement with Industry associations and trade showsAssist with the development of product and price forecastsAssist with the development of the annual business plan and strategySupport the development of a comprehensive strategic plan to advance market presenceIdentify, manage, and communicate market risk areas, opportunities, and requirements that affect strategic goals and overall business objectivesRepresent the company at industry association meetingsProvide accurate market information for expansion and capital expendituresDevelop and provide input into the marketing resource budget to ensure adequate allocation of resources in support of the marketing and product programIdentify opportunities for strategic partnershipsProvide periodic formal presentations of go to market activities and associated marketing plansSupport buildout of Marketing and Digital technologies to solve business needsOrganizational Relationships:
